Upon my arrival, I saw an old building that was once used as a hospital, private residence and a theater. It has been in ruins since the 1950's.
I walked from the parking pad down the front walkway and began taking pictures. There was no roof on the building and very little wall structure but I was told it is a very safe building.
I took a lot of pictures, and upon viewing my pictures I did not capture anything that I would consider paranormal, but I did capture many orbs (could be dust). However, there were a few things that did make me wonder.There is what looks like a power line in one of my pictures that I did not notice when I was there. On the picture the line has breaks in it about every two to three feet (perhaps a bug was flying as I snapped the picture).
As you can tell I did not personally find anything paranormal, but I do think it warrants a full investigation judging from the things I have heard about this place. I would like to go back and set up a professional investigation.

When you first drive up to the Institute you see what resembles a bombed-out WWII building right out of Dresden Germany. A previous owner had gutted the walls and removed the floors. The only thing standing is the stone walls very well supported by blue structural beams. I will mention for the weary of heart that the structure is very safe from collapse. The feelings I picked up was of a very unique place. The remnants of this Grand Manor, still transcends through the wear of time, as a place of majesty. When you walk inside you see that the Institute was once and still is a beautiful site. Even now the structure is utilized for special functions such as, wedding receptions, and other business, or family events. The grounds both inside and outside have been well kepted in a pristine condition. You don't see any trash, or pieces of wall, or wood to hinder any movement like other locations that I have been to. This place is very clean.
The tour guides informed us that this was a very influential school for wealthy young ladies from many parts of the country and beyond. They came from places such as Europe, Latin America, North America, which also included daughters of several Native Indian Tribes. These young ladies were taught the standard curriculum to women of the time. Which is in total contrast to the well publized "Girls Gone Wild" videos that circulate now across our mighty nation.
What I enjoy discussing as a medium, is my perceptions upon coming to the front of this once mighty school. There is a feeling of expectant new students. With the Grand Mistress of the School standing at the top of the stairs, her head held high, flanked by her current students ready to receive the new arrivals.
Upon entering I sensed a young lady standing to my right about 5 ft. 6 inches. She was wearing a long white nite shirt with straight black hair that came down to just above her waist. She just seemed to be waiting for someone. She didn't ask or say anything, but I kept feeling her watching me. The Tour Guide did make mention of a girl that had crossed over due to illness. Her parents arrived too late. Venturing down to the lower level. I was taking pictures and caught what looked like to me as a black man in one of my shots. Then I got the feeling of a former grounds keeper who had passed away on the property from an accident. I cought Orb's in every picture taken during our walk-about.
Later on, I came across a little girl, (with my minds eye) that was running around having fun towards the back of the house. She was well aware of us and ran between and around us while we were trying to communicate with her. She was about 5 years old, and as tall as my waist. At the same time I saw a group of spirits coming from the trees on the far side of the house to see what all of the hubbub was about. The later we stayed, the more spirits were coming to the estate. I would have enjoyed doing a full investigation with our group to further out knowledge of the hauntings at the Patapsco Female Institute.

This was my 1st Investigation with PHPRS so I was mainly trying to get a feel for procedure as well as the area we were investigating. At first glance the structure is very large and Im sure in its day was something to behold, It is still impressive though it has been gutted and the remaining walls have been reinforced with blue structural steel beams for safety purposes.
I found most of my photo’s contained Orbs and a lot of em, though to a large degree this would have to be because of dust” there was a slight breeze present and the structure is outdoors, still I have a couple of photo's which Im still reviewing and will probably turn over to BJ for further scrutiny. I didn’t feel any uneasy feelings or impending doom, the atmosphere in the ruins is very calm and relaxed although the neighborhood around it seems to be very much alive with noise, I think this would be a totally different place at 3:00 am than it was at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night . I can say that at one point facing the front of the building and looking at the 2 floor upper left window I do believe I saw a small form of a person but it didn’t show up in the photo's I took of that area. I would like to go back there but much later in the evening when the local traffic isn’t so busy.
