BJ's Discoveries

Though not a lot of stories told about this building there were a few lingering tales. We arrived at the location and set up the equipment, using three cameras, one in the far left hand side in a viewing room, one in the viewing room on the left rear area, and one in the downstairs area.
After all the equipment was in place, we all split up in pairs of two. All of PHPRS attended this investigation with a guest of one of our members. I took a lot of pictures and four evp sessions. I did not get any real pictures to speak about. I still have to go over my evp’s and if I get any I will be adding an update to this write-up.
There was a few times during the night the hair would stand up on my arms but that could have been because of the place we were in. We all took about a 20 minute evp session and then would switch partners and investigate another area.
At one point during the investigation, Randy and I were in the garage and the gas meter started to make a noise, upon viewing the meter one hand of the meter was going to the left and the other to the right. After about 2.5 minutes both hands started going in the same direction. The interesting thing about that is the numbers being displayed on the meter, units used stayed on 0121 and did not move. I was told by one of my investigators that it could have been calibrating, it did this many times throughout the night.
I got a very comforting feeling in the place and nothing out of the ordinary. I don’t feel there is anything there that is harmful or destructive, if anything its just a friendly spirit looking over the place.

I arrived at the site and we collected in the hallway. The cameras were already set up so we paired up and each went to different locations in the building. I was in the front room on the right, where it was very comfortable on the furniture. We sat for awhile, did an EVP session (haven't listened yet, so no results to speak of). Took a few pictures but nothing in pictures, not even dust orbs. After about 20 minutes we changed rooms and repeated the process. I did get one nice sized orb (with nucleus), and a tiny orb (with same). Changed partners on the next go round and went with Randy to the "garage". It was very dark, after being there for a few minutes, Randy said he saw a light on the wall by the switch, I saw nothing. Took several pictures, nothing of interest so far, but I have to put them on the computer and check them out yet. We both saw a line of light, but came to the conclusion it was a reflection off of something. Went back upstairs, teamed up with BJ and went to front room on the left, again it was quiet and dark. Took pictures, nothing showed up. It was a quiet peaceful night, I noticed no activity, felt very calm and peaceful throughout the building. I have yet to finish listening to my EVP’s and checking out my pics on the computer, but I would be surprised if anything showed up. It was a very peaceful location.

I rode with BJ to the location and met up later with Bucky, Randy, Becky, Cora, and Tammy. We sat up the cameras and got paired up. Me and Becky took the downstairs and did a evp session. We stayed down stairs for 20 mins or so then switched up to take another room. I didn't experience anything till the end of the night when I went with Randy to the garage we asked questions and we did get knocks. Randy asked the question do you want us to leave you and we heard two knocks. We both said ok and left the garage. SO far pictures didn't show anything and I am still reviewing the digital recorders for possible evp. Overall I felt easy in this location no negative feelings at all.

This funeral parlor did have some people on display which was something new to me. The location was very peaceful and did not feel active to me. I did not capture anything visual except for a few interesting orbs, but nothing that can be termed paranormal. We alternated working with different team members as we rotated through the space. Everything went very smoothly.
I did have one personal experience. While we were getting our briefing, I was looking at a pair of double doors that were clearly completely closed. A few minutes later, one of them was partially open. No one had been near them, as we were still at the meeting. Needless to say, I paid special attention to that throughout the night, but it did not happen again.
I spent more time in the downstairs garage than anyone and was there with several teammates. Each time, there was a gas meter that seemed to go on for a few minutes, with spinning wheels and everything, but the overall reading never changed. However, while this was quite unusual, it was nothing. One of those trips to the garage, I saw some lights, which I was unable to explain, but another team successfully debunked those. Also, there was some minor K2 success. When we would invite the spirits to pass by the meter and, there seemed to be a change. This happened several times, but the change was minor and not conclusive enough. There was quite a bit of noise in that room, and when we requested that noise be made on several occasions, the re was noise – almost immediately. Some of the noise seemed like perhaps it came from above the garage, but after testing it, it was clear that was not the case. However, there were pipe noises that could be eliminated. Still, there was a lot of noises including what seemed to be a knocking sound from around one of the caskets in the garage. The casket was occupied.
I enjoyed the investigation a great deal, and many of the things we saw and heard could be quickly debunked – including a moving curtain. But there were a lot of EVP gathered throughout the location. Much of my own EVP seemed to be coming from someone other than those deceased who were actually there for viewing. I do not think any of the responses I got indicated that they were from the caskets.
All in all, the team seemed to perform well and it was very enjoyable, and while my results were not earth shattering, they were interesting and convinced me that the building was active – perhaps by a caretaker spirit, since the majority of EVP seemed to be coming from the same voice throughout the building.

We met up and setup the camera equipment as necessary, 1 camera went into the large room to the left of the building, 2nd went to the front right and 3rd went to the front left, while the last one went to the break room area which was supposed to have its own share of activity.
As always each individual investigator had his or her own kit containing for most digital camera, digital recorder, emf meter, and good flashlight.
This was an interesting investigation, I've never technically investigated a mortuary before complete with the complimentary departed, approximately 5ea were also in attendance, at least physically.
after a brief meeting we were paired upland started the investigation.
I was with Randy 1st in the large room and we attempted to get EVP evidence and took Photographs the whole time we were asking selected questions of the departed.
2nd Inv was in the basement with Cora's guest "daughter" Tammy and we attempted to get evidence in the breakroom down stairs.
3rd investigation was with Rob in the front left room.
4th was with BJ and Becky in the Front right room, in which we were attempting to debunk curtain movement experienced by two other investigators in the previous session.
I also sat in 2 sessions watching the monitor for BJ, so that he could also investigate.
Finally I investigated the garage / storage area in a debunking setting do to the observed lighting issues by other investigators.
Evidence and Conclusion:
I went through my evidence by listening to my recorder 3ea different times and looking at my photographs on the larger view screen on my computer. After close inspection no usable evidence was gained. I would like to thank the client for the opportunity and would though I didn't really get any evidence or have a personal experience, like to investigate the location again some time.

I first investigated with Rob downstairs in the lounge area where we took photos and conducted an EVP session. I did the same with BJ in one of the parlors.
After I took a turn watching the monitor, Tammy and I went down to the garage for another session of picture-taking and recording. This room was pitch black. We were concentrating on an area where another team member thought he had seen a strange column of light, but when we investigated further we determined it came from a small gap between the wall and the garage door and was reflected by the door’s metal seam.
Rob and I again teamed up in another small parlor. Nothing out of the ordinary happened while we were there. However, when reviewing my recordings later, there was an EVP taken from that particular session. After having it reviewed by several other team members, it’s thought to say “Basement” (Rob and I were not in the basement when this was recorded).
I didn’t get any other EVP recordings other than this one, and none of my photos showed anything paranormal. |
